报告英文简介:

Gemini cationic silica sol (GCSS) was obtained with tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) as a precursor and ethylene-bis (octadecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride) (EBODAC) as an additive. Influence mechanisms of various inorganic salts on gelation properties of GCSS were detailedly investigated Antibacterial ratio of cotton fabrics treated by GCSS were also analyzed. Results show that Zeta potentials of the sols decreased while the particle sizes increased in the presence of NaCl, KCl, MgCl2 and CaCl2. However, FeCl3 presented opposite effects on gelation process. It improved Zeta potentials of the sol and decreased the particle sizes due to its hydrolysis inclination and hydroxyl capturing ability. Furthermore, the antibacterial rate of cotton fabric treated by the sols reached 91.3 % under the baking condition of 200℃ for 3min. The warp-wise strength of the fabric dramatically declined at higher baking temperature. The washing fastness of cotton fabrics treated by the sols was distinctly enhanced by utilizing vinyl tris (β-methoxyethoxy) silane (NQ-72) as the coupling agent. Antibacterial rate of the finished cotton fabrics still achieved 81.2% after washing 30 times. Summarily, cotton fabrics obtained good antibacterial property after finishing by GCSS.
