The paper summarizes the background and research status of the Glass fabric’s mouldability and introduces the principle of structured light non-contact 3D scanning measuring instrument test. In order to quick, easy, accurate measuring and evaluating the mouldability of the glass fabric, put forward a kind of intuitive, objective and accurate evaluation method on the basis of using 3D scanning technology. Firstly, making sample fabric wrinkle under the action of the ball with the help of 3d scanning for digital model, and processing, analyzing the state and degree of wrinkle on the surface of the sphere, the curvature of the cross section curve and curve change of data by using the three-dimensional processing software model. At the same time, recording the force - displacement curve of the fabric. This method intuitively reflects the fabric’s covering property. It can accurately characterize the mouldability of the fabric. This method has higher test precision, simple operation, provides a new thought for determination and evaluation of the fabric’s mouldability.
