报告英文简介: The tensile strength is one of the most important properties for the synthetic fibers. Although it mainly depends on the microscopic structure for the ductile fibers like polyester, the structure parameters, molecular orientation factor and crystallinity for example, are almost saturated for the high-strength polyester fibers. It is said that the so-called network structure or the resultant taut-tie-chain determined the tensile strength of the fiber, but the structures are hardly observed directly. We have developed the new technique for analyzing the development of fiber structure through the in-situ measurement with the time-resolution about 0.1 ms. The fiber structure of polyester is formed within few milliseconds after instantaneous neck-drawing by way of the X-shaped scattering and the smectic-like mesophase structure shows the streak-like meridional diffractions. By the measurement, we can discuss the development of taut-tie chain from the network structure preformed in the melt-spinning process.
