报告英文简介: Nowadays, short staple fibers are known as useful and economical materials for reinforcing. Fiber to cement interfacial interactions influences mechanical properties of composites. Engineered cementitious composite (ECC) is an important type of cement based materials with suitable mechanical properties and high ductility. Polyvinyl alcohol fibers have been introduced as the best reinforcement for ECCs. In this research, the feasibility of using two types of polymeric staple fibers (nylon 66 and polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers) as reinforcement in ECC mix design is studied. Three point bending test was carried out on composites sheets in order to investigate the flexural behavior of specimens. After that, the bonding strength between fiber and matrix was experienced by pullout test. It was found that the flexural toughness of composites specimens with nylon 66 fibers is 6 times higher than specimens containing PAN fibers. Although polyacrylonitrile fibers showed the higher pullout strength but pullout energy of nylon 66 fiber was 3 times higher than PAN fiber.
