报告英文简介: Bone scaffolds for tissue engineering should have a porous, three-dimensional structure, adequate pore size and porosity, and biocompatibility. Freeze drying technique can give a porous structure to bone scaffolds. In this study, chitosan solution and gelatin solution are blended, and then cross-linked by glutaraldehyde (GA) solution for various durations. The mixture then undergoes freezing and freeze drying to form chitosan/gelatin composite bone scaffolds. The surfaces and cross sections of the chitosan/gelatin composite bone scaffolds are observed by a stereomicroscope and a scanning electron microscope (SEM), and analyzed with Image Pro Plus. In addition, in vitro biocompatibility of the bone scaffolds is evaluated. The experimental results show that the chitosan/gelatin composite bone scaffolds have a three-dimensional, porous structure and a desirable biocompatibility.
