报告英文简介: The thermal behavior of nonwoven fabrics prepared from wool and polypropylene fibers in one layer and multiple layers has been investigated. The samples were made from 40% polypropylene and 60% wool fiber, using hot calendaring process. The thermal history of the material at the bond perimeter has specific effect on mechanical and physical properties of the fabrics therefore through bonding process the roll temperature is fixed at 155?C, line speed on the order of 200 m/min and the roll force in the range of 104kgf/m. The effect of fiber orientation in web formation, to produce the three dimensional fabric were studied. Each layer of fabric with a defined space between overlapped one another, in a different direction, vertically, horizontally and diagonally. The thermal resistance values were measured using TECOSY an apparatus with a guarded hot plate. The follow?ing thermal parameters were also assessed: thermal conductivity, thermal diffusion, and thermal absorption.
